Topeka, KANSAS – The 35-year-old woman was arrested on Monday, authorities said.
Her name is Valerie Shaffer and she was booked into the Shawnee County Jail.
SCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on Toyota Avalon that had an expired license tag.
The traffic stop was initiated around 11:15 p.m. at N.W. Morse and Topeka Boulevard.
Illegal narcotics were found during the search of the vehicle.
The 35-year-old passenger was taken into custody.
Prosecutors said she is now charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
