TOPEKA, KS – The first of these events was hosted on Saturday by the downtown venue, opposing with a hard will to the cold.

The idea is to cooperate with local creators and organizations and bring more people to the market district. The event is to give an alternative opportunity to the farmers and makers to sell their products.

“I know the farmers have no place to go. I thought During the winter they’re probably struggling to make ends meet to sell their product,” Topeka Vendors Market Manager Marianne Sopoci said. “We thought it would be perfect for them to come on down and give them an opportunity to sell their product.”

The other two Topeka Vendors Market events are scheduled for the third Saturday in February and March, coinciding with the Vendors Market bingo day event.
