TOPEKA, Kan. – The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office on Friday relocated a squirrel it said had been scaring people at Topeka’s Gage Park Carousel with its overly friendly nature.
A sheriff’s office animal control officer responded to a call regarding the squirrel at the carousel, the sheriff’s office said Saturday on its Facebook page.
“Along with Park Police, she found an overly friendly squirrel that had been trying to make friends and scaring people,” the post said. “They were able to pick up the squirrel (by hand) and relocate it to a much better & safer place for this fun-loving squirrel.”
