TOPEKA, Kan. – The Topeka Golf Association will tee off its 2021 schedule on April 16 with its annual Four-Person Scramble to benefit the Washburn Golf Team.
Well, almost annual. Last year’s event was canceled because of COVID-19 concerns. But it returns this year and will be played at Shawnee Country Club with a cost of $240 per team. Deadline for the tournament is April 8.
The city’s four majors begin with the Four-Man Best Ball/Shamble, to be held May 15-16 at Lake Shawnee Golf Course. The Match Play will be held June 10-13 at Cypress Ridge Golf Course with qualifying on June 6. The Ed Bozarth Stroke Play will be held July 9-11 with rounds at Lake Shawnee (first), Cypress Ridge (second) and Topeka Country Club (final). The major season is capped with the Two-Man Best Ball/Shamble, to be held Aug. 7-8 at Cypress Ridge.
The City Champions events will be a Two-Person Scramble on May 24-25 at Firekeeper Golf Course and the Stroke Play on Aug. 23-24 at Topeka County Club.
The City Junior Championships will be held July 19-20 at Lake Shawnee (first round) and Cypress Ridge (final round).
The City Match Play, Champions Stroke Play and Junior Championship will offer separate age divisions.

May 24-25 — City Champions Two-Person Scramble, Firekeeper Golf Course, $160 entry fee per team. Deadline: May 17.
June 6 — City Match Play qualifier, Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
June 10-13 — City Match Play, Cypress Ridge Golf Course, $95 entry fee for 18-over, $75 entry fee for 18-under. Deadline: May 28.
July 9-11 — Ed Bozarth City Stroke Play, Lake Shawnee Golf Course (first round), Cypress Ridge Golf Course (second round), Topeka Country Club (final round), $130 entry fee. Deadline: July 1.
July 19-20 — City Junior Championship, Lake Shawnee Golf Course (first round), Cypress Ridge Golf Course (final round), $50 entry fee. Deadline: July 16.
Aug. 7-8 — City Two-Man Best Ball/Shamble, Cypress Ridge Golf Course, $140 entry fee per team. Deadline: July 30.
Aug. 23-24 — City Champions Stroke Play, Topeka Country Club, $145 entry fee. Deadline: Aug. 16.
