TOPEKA, Kan. – One person died Thursday morning when a vehicle left Interstate 70 and plunged into Mission Creek in western Shawnee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol and rescue workers were called at 9:09 a.m. to the scene, about one-half mile east of Valencia Road, said a highway patrol dispatcher.
No further details were being released as of midafternoon.
