Lawrence, KS – This accident occurred right before 6 a.m. Sunday, on Highway 10, DCSO said.
Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a crash.
The responding deputies discovered that the victim had gotten out of their car to help someone involved in a crash.
Deputies said that person was struck by an oncoming car.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time.
