Police arrest two, cite marijuana growing operation in North Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. – Topeka police said they arrested two women after uncovering a marijuana growing operation while executing a search warrant early Wednesday morning in North Topeka.

Shawnee County Jail records identified those in custody as Neyl Alexandra Beier, 31, and Tiffany Michelle Thompson, 40.

Lt. Jerry Monasmith said the Topeka police narcotics unit executed the search warrant related to an ongoing investigation in the 1300 block of N.W. Eugene, where it located a marijuana cultivation operation, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Shawnee County Jail records indicated Thompson was booked at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday and Beier at 4:55 a.m. into the jail, where both were being held without bond late Wednesday morning in connection with cultivating a controlled substance involving less than 50 plants, aggravated child endangerment and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Beier was also being held  in connection with possessing methamphetamine and Thompson was also being held in connection with domestic battery, according to jail records.
