TOPEKA, Kan. – Two people have been hospitalized Wednesday after an early-morning house fire at 1234 S.W. Oakley Ave.
A woman who was found to be trapped inside the burning house was rescued by Topeka firefighters and taken to a local hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening. A man who self-evacuated before the Topeka Fire Department’s arrival was taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
