Topeka Police Department investigating two suspects for burglary thanks to an alert citizen

Topeka, Kan. — According to the statement, officers received a call about a man and woman that were seen breaking into a vehicle at an apartment complex at 3720 SW 29th Street in Topeka.

TPD responded around 4:15 a.m. and located two people matching the description of the suspects.

They were arrested at the scene and the stolen items were recovered.

As a result of the investigation, police booked Michael D. Delaney and Shelby L. Whitaker into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Burglary.

This incident is under investigation.
